The Ursack Major XL bear bag is a larger version of our classic Major and holds about 50% more food than its smaller sibling. At 8.8 ounces, our Major XL bear bag is still more lightweight than a traditional bear canister and prevents bears from getting your food in their territory.

Great bag! this was a good size for me

I pack a lot of food to be honest, even for 1 person this bag could fit enough for up to a week for two people i feel depending on the volume of the food. The white is really nice came to ursak website just to get it, really with the white and the reflective strip it makes finding the bag really easy, specially when using reflective accessory cord to hang it (though in snow i don't know if white would be easier to find). would buy again without hesitation.

Light and super easy to use.

We used ours on a three night trip for 4 people, with a bear canister.
Needless to say the Ursack was so much lighter and easier to manage.
The only thing I'd change is getting the Allmitey size instead.

Why did I use a bear can for so long?

When I got a bear can so I didn't have to tie up a bear bag anymore, I thought it was the greatest thing ever. I was wrong. The Ursack is the greatest thing ever. This weighs 2 lbs less than my can AND carries an additional 20% of food. It's just as easy to use, and has the advantage of packing down in my backpack when I do shorter trips. This is 100% a better option than any other bear/critter-proof method.
