No need to choose between bear and critter protection. The Ursack AllMitey protects your food from all creatures great and small. While our standard Major and Major XL resist being torn by bears, it is prone to small (less than 1/4 inch) punctures/weave separations. The AllMitey is virtually puncture-proof. Not only will it keep out bears teeth and claws it will thwart mice, raccoon, squirrels, pine martens, and other sharp-toothed critters.

Well, let this review be the fifth star for that review.
We used these bags on a multi month sea kayak expedition along British Columbia’s wild coast. Though the ocean has enough to feed us, we slept peacefully knowing that our food was safe from critters and bears. We hung our food nightly in these bags and were never concerned with bites getting through while they were on the ground.
Outside of the kayak expedition, I use it backpacking as well. Packs well along back or bottom of backpack.
Your food and peace of mind is worth it for this bag!
Have only used it once but it was easy to use and pack. Slightly heavier but to be expected to safe guard from all critters.
I really like my new Ursack. I have hung bear bags for years in a nylon bag and I once had a black bear get my food. I read the literature and the Ursack I believe is the way to go. It is so much easier than hanging a bag. The knots are easy to learn and tie to a tree away from your camp where you are sleeping. Also the Ursack is light and does not take up too much room in your backpack.
I’m feeling optimistic about this bag that looked different from website picture. It is missing Velcro and includes only one odor proof bag instead of a set of three likes of cost of combo. It is not very accurate pricing. I saw some sewing fraying on the edge and it is poorly stitched to me. I may send it back for replacement.
Only gave 4 stars because I haven’t had a chance to use it yet, but it seems very well made and I have high expectations for it. Anything has got to be better than those bear barrels!
