Love the bear bag. It's perfect for my needs. It holds way more food than I anticipated and completely full it fits perfectly in my pack.
I purchased the bag with the Opsak because it wasn't available by itself, figured having the Opsak wasn't a bad idea (the additional cost/weight is nominal). However, the ziplock closing on the Opsak tore as I was getting it out of the packaging. I fixed it with duct tape and it works fine, but not a great start to a new product. Hoping it will still block all food odors.
The bag is of excellent quality. The material is durable, but it folds down nicely. It feels good to the touch and is easy to clean. The rope is also sturdy. I slept peacefully in the White Mountains, knowing that my food was safe for the bears. It rained and hailed during the night. The bag got wet, but all of my food stayed dry in the plastic Opsak Odor Barrier Bag inside. There is a little gap on the top of the bag after I tied the bag shut, but I cinched it down with the Ursack rope and an elastic cable (Red Whip by ThinkTank). Before I bought the Ursack, I watched videos to see my options. I did not want to carry a large bear canister. It seemed awkward, and some people had difficultly opening it up. And after hiking all day, I didn't want to be bothered with hanging a bear bag high in a tree. The Ursack was both secure and convenient. I like the black bag because it matches my backpack, and I thought that it would show less dirt, but the white color is probably nice because it reflects sunlight, and it is easy to see in low light conditions.
